i dont really know what kind of style i was going for here. just kind of a traditional sort of painted style. like i said before i've been doodling lots of bambi lately to try and get better at it and this was one pic i especially liked.

i drew the little deer down on paper as a rough sketch adn then for some reason decided to add a pretty border. in the lineart i only drew half of the border, lol, and later i just copied and mirror imaged it to make it symetrical. as you can see the border is themed like a forest.

i also wanted to make the lines look painted so i used alot of shape dynamics (making the lines thick and thin at times) and also, if you look really closely, you can see that i've smudged the lineart here and there (like bambi's ear tip). This was to make it look more realistic. in a real painting, sometimes the lines blur a bit.
